Lessons Learned from the STEP for MS Trial

A 2-hour Virtual Interactive Journal Club & Data Blitz
$20 per person
Saturday, October 5th 2024
11am – 1pm EST (8-10am PST/4-6pm GMT)

The recently completed STEP for MS Trial was a multisite study that compared the effectiveness of an exercise training program delivered in a facility-based setting with direct, in-person supervision to a home-based setting with remote supervision via telerehabilitation for improving walking performance in persons with MS. During this virtual event, study PIs Drs. Deborah Backus and Rob Motl will highlight key results and lessons learned from this experience. A moderated discussion including attendee-submitted questions will follow.

Objectives

The objectives of this virtual event are to move the field forward by discussing lessons learned from a large international clinical trial impacting persons with MS, to disseminate late-breaking research, and facilitate networking.

Abstracts

We invite the submission of abstracts related to gait, balance, or rehabilitation in MS from researchers, clinicians, and trainees. Selected abstracts will be chosen to deliver short data blitz talks following the STEP for MS trial presentation. The deadline to submit an abstract has been extended to September 6th, 2024.
